Sandy Aquila LMT is a licensed massage therapist with 30 years of experience in holistic health care. She is the owner/creative visionary of OM Center, a 7,000 sq. ft. holistic healing facility. She has traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, China and India working with and studying holistic healing methods. Along with traditional massage, her studies have included Craniosacral Biodynamic Therapy (Franklyn Sills), Acupressure, Acupuncture, Ortho-Bionomy, Five Element Body-Reading, Zero Balancing, Nutrition, Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, Herbology, NLP, Intuitive and BodyMind Healing Therapies.
Sandy has been a guest teacher at The University of Nebraska at Omaha for Stress Management classes. She has co-written and presented educational programs about massage therapy on Cable television, taught massage classes at The BodyMind Institute, was the editor of The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) newsletter for the Nebraska chapter and a member of The Healing Arts Council, which promotes unique and educational programs in the Omaha area. She has been a member of the AMTA for 27 years.
In her current bodywork practice, she uses Crainosacral Biodynamics Therapy (Franklyn Sills), Acupressure, Pranic Healing, Ortho-bionomy, NLP and Stillpoint Energy Systems. The benefits can range from relaxation to relief from pain or to strengthen and restore the harmony between body, mind, and spirit deepening our sense of self and well being.
In 2001 she founded Omaha Healing Arts Center, a facility dedicated to offering holistic health care, education, entertainment and community experience in the healing, visual and performing arts. IN addition to directing the center and her private body-mind practice, her work has taken her throughout the United States and the world, on tours with Sting and one the past 20 years with Chip Davis of Mannheim Steamroller.
